Rome

Rome is of course "The Eternal City", a status which like a Red Thread seems to make the citys endless variety into a sort of entity: Great monuments, invaluable cultural heritage, a history full of creativity and world famous art, but also ignored or forgotten places where new and old tells other stories, unknown or unnoticed, but just as interesting. There is the Rome of the Republic, the Rome of emperors, the Rome of Caravaggio, Hans Christian Andersen, Pasolini, Berlusconi and the Pope. But indeed also the ordinary Romans Rome, everybodys Rome. A Rome where big and small, timeless past and buzzing present merge and in a glimpse can be kept in the mind as that amazing concept: Rome.
